I think one of the biggest misnomers is the thought that Spiritual Teachers are completely unaffected by the energetic changes that are occurring on the planet. You know, those days when the energy just knocks you on your a@@ and you can’t put a sentence together if you life depended on it?
There is the concept that “Oh, you teach about this so you must not be affected by the energy…” idea. This is false. Everyone is at a different level of spiritual growth and evolution but that doesn’t mean they are not affected by big energy when it comes in – it simply means that they handle it differently.
I had a phone call with a friend who said. “The energy is so big today I can barely function. I don’t want to leave my house and all I want to do today is sleep.” Now, I wasn’t feeling it to the same degree as she was that day but I had my own dysfunction. Like the time I drove myself to the supermarket which was only 7 minutes away, got inside and stood in the produce department for about 5 minutes trying to figure out why I came in the first place. LOL
Now granted, I was able to overcome my funk for a moment because I have an enormous tool bag to pull me out. I simply take a moment and go “Wow, I am totally out of it” and then start dipping into my tool bag and start pulling out tools to help me get back on track.
Unfortunately, the majority of the population who are starting to feel these energy shifts don’t have a tool bag and thus get hit really hard. The experience itself can be distressing and even unnerving for some. They might even think that there’s something wrong with them and seek out the help of a doctor.
The more you become aware of yourself as an energetic being and the more tools you develop for managing energy influxes like the one’s described above, the easier it will be to manage the big shifts when they occur.
So the answer is Yes. Even spiritual teachers can get side-lined by big energy but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn the same tools that I use and pull yourself out of your funk! Everyone get’s the funky’s to one degree or another 😉
